Universalis is a comprehensive app that provides users with a breviary, missal, and more. It allows users to engage in the Liturgy of the Hours and Mass for each day, along with additional valuable resources.

The Catholic Calendar app offers the opportunity for users to join the thousands of individuals who utilize Universalis on a daily basis. With a free app and a small monthly subscription fee of approximately $0.99 / £0.79 / €0.99 (exact amount provided by App Store), users can access a wealth of features. Alternatively, those who prefer a one-time purchase can opt for the Universalis app rather than the Catholic Calendar app.

LITURGY OF THE HOURS: Complete official version of the Catholic Church's Liturgy of the Hours, including Morning (Lauds), daytime (Terce, Sext, and None), evening (Vespers), night (Compline), and the profound Office of Readings. Users have the flexibility to engage in as many or as few of these prayers as desired.

<li>The psalms and canticles align with the official English and American liturgical books, and Scripture readings are from either the Jerusalem Bible or the RSV.</li>

<li>"Daily Books" presents selected spiritual classics in daily installments to enhance users' prayer lives.</li>

Further features include a daily email service and Mass readings accessible on Apple Watch.

OPTIONAL ADD-ON AUDIO (in-app purchase required):

Users can listen to spoken English versions of the Liturgy of the Hours and Mass readings. The text is highlighted to correspond with the audio, and no Internet connection is required once the audio is downloaded. CarPlay compatibility is also available.

<li>"Spoken English Mass Readings" includes audio for the First Reading, Second Reading, and Gospel, using the Jerusalem Bible translation. Monthly or annual subscriptions are available.</li>
</ul>

Samples of the audio are available for listening before subscribing. Subscriptions renew automatically as per App Store rules, but auto-renewal can be cancelled at any time.
